Offline Tokyo vintage map: what to download before you go

An offline map protects the route from a weak station signal, roaming limits, or crowded mobile networks. It does not freeze real-world shop information: hours, inventory, and closures still need day-of confirmation.

The implementation uses Mapbox Standard offline regions. Satellite and 3D display options in the live map should not be described as included in every offline pack.

Practical steps

   Choose the day’s area

   Download one district instead of filling storage with every surrounding-metro area.

   Review the estimate

   The app shows an estimated size; actual transfer and storage can vary.

   Start the download on reliable Wi-Fi

   Downloads are manual. The app’s proactive path currently logs eligibility but does not silently download packs.

   Check the saved total

   Confirm that the pack has finished before leaving your connection.

   Keep live facts separate

   Offline map availability does not make shop hours or inventory live-verified.

What to verify before you go

• Mapbox terms and technical limits apply.
• Storage estimates are not guarantees.
• Weather and refreshed FX data may still require a network connection.
• Inventory, opening hours, prices, payment methods, tax-free handling, language support, accessibility, and transit conditions can change; verify important details directly before visiting.
