Tokyo vintage shopping guide: plan the right day
For a first Tokyo vintage day, pick one dense neighborhood, shortlist six to eight shops, and keep four to five hours free. Use Harajuku for designer resale and streetwear, Shimokitazawa for dense thrift, or Koenji for denim and workwear. Recheck hours and inventory on the day.

Mapbox, Apple Weather, Firebase content delivery, StoreKit, and the configured FX provider retain their own service roles and terms.
Is Vintokyo available now?
The public App Store listing is not available yet. This page will switch to a download link only after Apple’s listing resolves.
Can I use maps offline?
Yes. Vintokyo currently builds 67 user-initiated Mapbox Standard downloads: one Core Vintage Tokyo pack plus one for each of the 66 areas in the bundled dataset. Estimated sizes and availability can change.
Is Vintokyo iPhone-only, and does it need an account or show ads?
The current app target is iPhone. It does not require a user account and the product does not show ads; operational providers and optional app diagnostics still have the roles described in the privacy notice.
What can I use for free?
The implemented free preview includes free editorial routes and allows up to five saved or visited shops in total. Storefront availability, products, and prices remain unproven until the public App Store listing resolves.
Does the guide cover only central Tokyo?
No. The current seed has 235 records in 41 Tokyo Metropolis areas plus 57 records in 25 Greater Tokyo areas across Kanagawa, Saitama, and Chiba.
Are shop hours continuously verified?
No. Shop facts were last reviewed between 26 and 30 June 2026. Hours, inventory, payment methods, tax-free handling, access, and closures can change, so verify important details directly before visiting.
Are ratings from Google?
No. Any score or note described by Vintokyo is editorial and uses Vintokyo’s own criteria. The website does not reproduce Google or user ratings.
Does the scanner upload my price tags?
The implemented scanner uses Apple Vision OCR on device. Camera frames, selected photo pixels, OCR text, parsed prices, and conversion results are not intentionally sent to Vintokyo website analytics.
